Paths to Peace

Peace on film

If war films tell the story of state-sanctioned killing, peace films recount the efforts of individuals and groups who believe that conflicts can be settled bloodlessly through moral force, truth force, resistance force, education force and spiritual force.

Without much attention from the mainstream press, filmmakers have been at work documenting alternatives to violence. Here is a sampling of recent peace films. All are available on VHS.
