John Holdridge was one of three capital defense attorneys featured in NCR’s Oct. 5 cover story. His last name was misspelled.

 

Philip Berrigan, well-known peace activist and former priest, was released from segregation Sept. 21 after 10 days of being inaccessible to his wife, Elizabeth McAlister, and daughters. A news brief in NCR’s Oct. 5 issue did not report his release. Berrigan is incarcerated at FCI Elkton federal prison in Lisbon, Ohio, for hammering on a military aircraft in Maryland while on probation for a similar protest in Maine.

 

In the Oct. 5 issue, the third line of the second-to-last stanza of Mickey Edwards’ poem, “Two Plumes — September 2001,” should have read “Lives lost in innocence.”

 

Presentation Sr. Janet Schumacher, former director of University Ministries at Loyola University, was referred to in “Loyola Chicago trains spiritually sensitive helpers” in NCR’s Sept. 28 issue. Schumacher’s first name was incorrect.
