The e-mail address for Dorothy Irvins yearly calendar of illustrations of women priests and deacons in the early church is irvincalendar@hotmail.com. It was listed incorrectly in the Aug. 3 Letters column.
By discussing Westminster Abbey in her story her story on English cathedrals (Centuries of inspiration in the Destinations section of the July 20 issue), Patricia Lefevere suggested that it is one of Londons cathedrals. It is, as its name indicates, an abbey. It is Anglican.
The Catholic cathedrals in London are Westminster Cathedral and Southwark (pronounced Suthak) Cathedral, also known as St. Georges Cathedral, which is in a part of London called Southwark. There is also an Anglican cathedral called Southwark.
